081101 Kelvin + Angie
A wedding is a start of togetherness... of walks in the rain, basking in the sunshine, shared meals, caring for one another and sensing the love that a marriage carries.

The Man behind the Magic
Marriage is not a noun; it's a verb. It isn't something you get. It's something you do. It's the way you love your partner every day.

Jeff & Leanne
Did my first pet photoshoot with Jeff & Leanne. Playful and active bunch, they were. Reminded me that patience is a virtue... ;) But overall it was a great experience and they were so adorable!

Looks are always Deceiving
Guess....
Vast green fields?
or...
Green slimy algae that have invaded the entire surface of a pond?
You decide. :)

Tiny Fingers
Ten fingers, Ten toes
He's laughter and teardrops
So small and brand new
And amazingly angelic
He's sent to bless you
He's one special Baby
The best of life's treasure
And will grant and bless you
Many hours of great pleasure.

Conversations
The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Cormorant Fishing
Traditional fishing method in which fishermen use trained cormorants to fish in rivers.
To control the birds, the fishermen tie a snare near the base of the bird's throat. Though this prevents the birds from swallowing larger fish, which are held in their throat, the birds are still able to swallow smaller fish. When a cormorant has caught a fish in its throat, the fisherman brings the bird back to the boat and has the bird spit the fish back up. Though cormorant fishing used to be a successful fishing industry, its primary use today is to serve the tourism industry.

Asian Inquisitiveness
Every man ought to be inquisitive through every hour of his great adventure down to the day when he shall no longer cast a shadow in the sun. For if he dies without a question in his heart, what excuse is there for his continuance?

Struggles of Making a Living
Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.

Taking Dinner Home
The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs - The chicken was involved, but the pig was committed.
- Martina Navratilova
But perhaps the chicken was not so lucky in China. Or maybe there is no such difference.

The Bai Woman
This lady tends a stall in the Shaping Market, which opens every Monday, in a town north of the Dali Old Town. She sells noodle-like stuff (see below), but we really had no idea what it was. It was really spicy and the taste was rather interesting. The outfit she is wearing is the ethnic minority costume of the Bai (pronounced as ber) Tribe.
