For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.

Sugary Feast
It is not the quantity of the meat, but the cheerfulness of the guests, which makes the feast.
- Edward Hyde
Discovered these ants were having a secret feast in my kitchen.
Too bad, soon after their feasting, I had to end their cheerfulness and wipe them off my table-top.

The problem in defense is how far you can go without destroying from within what you are trying to defend from without.

People we meet - (4)
My Tho - Was crossing the sea from My Tho to An Hoa. This Vietnamese lady manually rows a single sampan which holds up to 5 people. A testimony to her strong arms and will and an example of the concept of mind over body.

Reach to the sky
I will grow. I will become something new and grand, but no grander than I now am. Just as the sky will be different in a few hours, its present perfection and completeness is not deficient.

One among many
Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes.

Light vs. Darkness
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.
- Terry Pratchett quotes (English Writer)
Whizzing By
The world is moving so fast these days that the man who says it can't be done is generally interrupted by someone doing it.

People we meet - (3)
Met this bus driver whilst running around snapping shots during the Canon PhotoMarathon last year. We had a really nice chat, just talking about little things that happened during our day. Unfortunately, the ride was only 5 minutes. Made me realise how isolated bus drivers may feel sometimes - driving on 2 hours shifts with no one to really engage with. A little conversation from us, commuters, really go a long way. ;)
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

The Beauty of Sunsets
Sometimes the setting sun breaks out again,
And touching all the darksome woods with light,
Smiles on the fields until they laugh and sing,
Then like a ruby from the horizon's ring,
Drops down into the night.

Mum's Flowers
Recently, my Mum is into floral arrangement and she has been actively making lots of floral pieces. I have tried to help take some shots of her work (though not really my forte) for her portfolio collection. Here are some of her floral pieces.
If you are interested in making an arrangement, do check out the flowers at www.asmaratheshoppe.blogspot.com or contact me at haechoo@yahoo.com.sg.

In the land of the Giants
Some things you miss because they're so
tiny you overlook them. But some things you
don't see because they're so huge.

Taking in the simplicity of life
Most of the critical things in life, which become
the starting points for human destiny, are little things.

Pause...
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
